Meet the Breeder

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am the owner and breeder at Badlands Mini Dachshunds. I am thrilled that you and your family are interested in adopting a miniature dachshund puppy! I live with my husband, children and miniature dachshunds on a sustainable homestead in the mountains of Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have been raising ABCA and AKC registered border collies and AKC registered miniature dachshunds for almost 20 years. I have extensive training in the veterinary medical field and I have worked as a veterinary technician, marine specialist, and rescue, rehabilitation, and release specialist for exotic wildlife.

I specialize in raising long hair miniature dachshund puppies that are responsibly bred for temperament, appearance, genetics, and breed foundation. They are high quality, indoor home raised, and heavily socialized. We work hard to provide an environment where our miniature dachshund puppies can thrive before being introduced into their new home! The relationship that I develop with each client is incredibly important to me and I make sure I am available to answer every question before, during and after the adoption process.
